A proud Nigerian woman, Edima has chosen to focus her life and career on projects that improve the lives of those around her. Edima brings an extensive range of skills and expertise to Ladima. She has worked in Nigeria and across Africa in the education sector, government policy consultation, eventing and entertainment as well as studying conflict resolution and business.
Lara is a passionate believer in Africa-Futurism and is firmly optimistic about the future of the continent. Her current focus on the film industry has seen her develop projects including the launch of the new event, DISCOP Zanzibar, ZIFF’s first ever film and TV content market, SOKO FILAM, and the Cape Town Film Festival amongst others.
Lydia Idakula Sobogun
Lydia is a Producer who works in Nigeria. She also runs TARUWA, a monthly performing arts open mic event in Lagos and a yearly arts festival. She is passionate about using arts and culture to inspire change.
Born in Jamaica, Patrice Carter was raised in the South Florida sun and the New York City film industry. Her career started with a passion for creating powerful imagery through film and continues to shape her current work in documentary. Patrice is an experienced manager and creative strategist with a career that spans 15+ years in the entertainment and nonprofit industries managing acclaimed personalities and brands, driving creation, building & executing projects and seeking the right talent & partnerships to do it with.
Theresa has years of experience in the world of documentary film and currently works with STEPS in programming AfriDocs amongst fundraising and marketing responsibilities.
Malu van Leeuwen
Malu has a diverse background, ranging from journalism and graphic design to intense project management within often difficult environments. Her vast network and marketing skills are a major asset to the Foundation.
Adenike is an experienced trade and investment specialist and business environment reform expert with over 15 years’ experience advising the Nigerian Government on policy reforms and business environment reforms and investment promotion policy strategies and tactics.
She currently consults for clients like the World Bank, DFID, GIZ and EU programmes overseeing the design and delivery of interventions that promote sustainable investment, public-private dialogue and business environment reforms across multiple economic sectors.
